30 old school movies that you must see with your family! www.simmplyseekingjoy.comRecently I’ve been trying to find “good” movies we can watch as a family. With three girls and only one boy, who is the youngest, it’s hard to find something everyone will agree on that is still appropriate, too! So, I’ve been going way back to my childhood and before to pull from old school movies that I love that I know they haven’t seen that think will entertain us all. We’ve had some successes and a few failures. I thought I’d share our can’t miss “old school movies” list with you!  Some you may know and love already; others you may have no knowledge of. I’d love to do a review of each one, but you’d get sick of me singing each movie’s praises, I promise. Also, this list is in no particular order. I love them all!

  26. Hook (PG) 1991
  27. The Watcher in the Woods (PG) 1980

  29. Little Rascals (PG) 1994
  30. Free Willy (PG) 1993

Most of these movies can be found on Amazon video; some on netflix. I’d also check out your local library to see if you can get any there. If you love them enough, they can all be purchased at Amazon! Start with something easy! For the younger kids, Homeward Bound is always a hit. For the older kids The Watcher in the Woods is a creepy thriller (in a Disney sort of way). If your kids love Captain America, they will love the Rocketeer- totally old school super hero stuff! Pick one. Pick a few. They will not disappoint!

Did I miss any of your favorites? Let me know! I’m always looking to add to our collection!
