Today I am introducing you to the easiest dessert you will ever make- a dessert my family calls Fast Fixin’ Cake. We’ve been making this cake for more years than I can count and it never disappoints. There are so many good things about this cake, but the best part is you mix it and bake it all in the same pan. So easy and less mess! I also love that this recipe has so many variations and can be changed up to fit anyone’s taste buds. In the mood for chocolate? Use a chocolate cake mix. In love with raspberries right now? Grab a can of raspberry pie filling and substitute it in. It’s the best!
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Pour oil into a 9x13x2 pan and tilt to cover bottom.
- Add cake mix, eggs and water to pan. Mix thoroughly with a fork and spread evenly across pan.
- Spoon pie filling onto cake batter.
- Fold gently into cake batter to create a marble effect.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until cake starts to pull away from the side of the pan.
- Once cake has cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- You can easily change the cake mix and pie filling to any flavor you want.
- I also love chocolate cake with raspberry filling. Mixed berry filling is great, too.

I love that I always have the ingredients for this cake on hand and that you can throw it together fast. Even I have never managed to mess it up! It’s never dry because of the pie filling and the marbled look is beautiful. Give it a try- I know you’ll love it! 🙂
