I love, love, LOVE Tuacahn. If you live in Southern Utah or have plans to visit during the summer, you need to put it on your bucket list. Tuacahn is an outdoor amphitheatre- “Broadway in the Canyon” is their claim to fame. And truly, it is spectacular. In recent years they’ve expanded their market considerably and have attracted notable Broadway talent to perform in their shows. The shows are incredible; the venue is breathtaking. It’s an amazing experience. Lots of years ago I worked in the box office for a season and I still tell people it was my favorite job ever! They have three shows every season and we try to see them all.

This year ticket prices range anywhere between $29 and $89. Pricey if you’re trying to take your whole family! I never pay full price for my Tuacahn tickets… and I don’t think you should either.  Honestly, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. My first tip? Sit on one of the sides (I like the left)- save yourself the money and buy a frozen lemonade instead! Tip #2- be flexible with your dates, if you can- sometimes the best deals come at the last minute. 

1. Did you know that Washington, Iron, Kane, and Virgin Valley County residents get a 20% discount on tickets? Just call the Box Office and they will want proof of address. Simple!
2. Sign up for Tuacahn emails. I get emails every summer for discounts on tickets- 40% off weekday shows, $10 tickets for opening nights, 30% and 35% for certain days.  It’s totally worth a few more emails in your inbox. 
3. Find someone who knows someone! Every summer, without fail, I get a text or a forwarded email from someone (usually my sister-in-law) who has a code for $5 or $10 tickets. Ask around! Does your neighbor’s brother’s friend play in the orchestra?  Does your niece’s soccer coaches dad sit on the Board of Directors at Tuacahn? If you put yourself out there, you’ll find someone who knows someone! 
4. If you’re coming from out of town, check with your hotel- most of them will be able to give you discount codes for tickets while you are there. 
5. Got a Dixie Direct card? Know someone who does? 25% off tickets! 
6. Are you or have you been Active Duty Military? 20% off tickets Monday-Thursday! 
7. AAA or over the age of 60? $3 off each ticket.
