I am so glad school is out, I could just cry! Truly. Anyone else feel like the month of May is pure and utter chaos? As my kids get older, our schedule gets crazier. With music lessons and sports practices alone, I think our lives are busier than they should be! And I’m fairly certain I live in my car most days.  The end of school marks a moment in time where I know our lives can slow down. And I know we will start to eat dinner together as a family again before the 8:00 hour. And the responsibilities of practices and homework and schedules die for a minute.  And I can hardly wait!

As a working mom, my summer isn’t completely carefree.  I’m still on a schedule. I still have somewhere I need to be everyday. But, in the hours that I’m not at work? I get to hang out with my kids. And we get to eat sno cones as often as we want. And go out to frozen yogurt at 9:00 at night if we feel like it. And swim in my sister’s pool. And go camping on the weekends.

I’m simply seeking summer for the next 75 days, people. And I’m making my kids join me! Everyday we’re seeking one thing that will help us experience summer in the best way. It doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to cost a dime. But it does have to pull us out of the mundane of everyday. And it needs to make us smile.

Come seek summer with us! Share your ideas with me! It’s going to be great!
